Popcorn 2017 Update!

Hello Sapona District Leaders and Volunteers, 

Sapona District received great news on the Popcorn front for this coming year. The Rowan United Way is no longer imposing a blackout on fall popcorn sales in our District. Effective immediately, our units can sell popcorn on the same schedule as all other council units. Thanks to United Way for working with us on this major fund raising project. (Jeff Bays says we should do at least $100K). Please spread the word to your scouts and volunteers and start gearing up now for a great Popcorn selling season this fall.

Base Commission:  Every Unit's starting commission is 32%!!

Prize or Cash Option: If your unit chooses Cash option you receive an additional 3%

New Unit or +15%: If your Unit did not sell in the past 2 years, or if your Unit increased by 15% the average of your last 3 years; the Council will add 3% to your 2017 overall commission.
